Good home made food in a 50's themed diner.
Great food and service
This place was so cute and awesome! The burgers were huge! What a great experience would definitely eat there again when in Dawson!
MoreThis little inconspicuous Diner placed along the side of the main road in Dawson Creek...is one of the best restaurants for theme and taste in town. Step solidly back into the 50's with an open concept kitchen you can see, counter seats to enjoy it more if you like, or comfy booths all along the tinted windows. Decor everywhere you look with on one side of the restaurant being musically themed ( Elvis signed guitar among them) and the other classic diner such as Betty boop and comical signs. Food wise burgers are hand smashed onto the grill, their hotdogs are cut in half lengthwise and have the right amount of fixings on them, enjoy classic coke in a glass bottle or soda pop ice cream shakes/floats. very lovely service and they even have a jukebox on the far side which only affects one or two booths away from it so If you get that seat you can enjoy custom music too :) wonderful place.
MoreVery cool place and great prices too. Yummy food.
A Great, family friendly place. Menu features classic 50's dinner (Burger and Milk Shakes!) some with a new twist. Fun place to dress up in retro attire!
MoreBest hamburger in the Peace. Great service and an experience that takes you back to happier simpler times. 'Happy Dazes Are Here Again'
MoreGreat food. Loved the atmosphere. Large portions.
Good food or otherwise they refused service to a family friend due to rumors. Never went back.
MoreGreat food and excellent wait staff. Highly recommend this place.
Great diner with homemade burgers, cute decor and great service.
A step back to my teens. A family business (three generations), service, personality, and food the way we remember it. Top notch!
MoreGreat breakfast, ambiance is fifties, a little more than some places but worth the effort.
MoreGreat atmosphere, lovely food and brisk service. This has to be the best nostalgia dinner I have ever been in.
MoreVariety in burgers and also traditional ambience😍
Simple home-cooked comfort food at reasonable prices served with a friendly smile. Great place to bring the kids!
MoreGreat homemade soup & pies!
Great mom and pop. Sandwiches, banana sits, etc. Nothing fancy, just good food.
We love the diner for breakfast or lunch, our favorite menu item being the Breakfast Bun available until 11:00 am. The soups and burgers are great lunch choices. Soup is surprisingly accompanied by warm soda biscuits. Delicious! The staff is very welcoming and keep the coffee flowing!
MoreDelicious and all you'd expect from this little quaint 60's style pop's burger shop. My only concern was the thickness of the "original" patties and sauce nearly made it un-eatable with my hands. All in all a return business for sure. I'd love to try more of the menu.
MoreInsane hamburgers awesome hoagies.
Glass of tap water was warm. Fries like cardboard with ketchup. Fish not good, like something frozen you buy from a supermarket. Very disappointed, wasted my money bringing a friend for lunch.
MoreReally good food.
This is a super cool 1950's retro style diner complete with music from the era all tucked into a passenger train car. The menu is pretty simple, co consisting of burgers, hot dogs, salads, and sandwiches. The milkshakes are old style home made. He strawberry milkshake is made with actual real strawberries. Actually I'm sure everything is home made. The burgers are fantastic.
MoreThe service was really good. The atmosphere is cool. But I ordered a Reuben sandwich and it wasn’t served well at all. It’s like the cook at no idea how to do a proper Ruben. But the service made up for it.
MoreAmazing food and friendly service
Good atmosphere and food. Will definitely be back
Super cool retro feel! Reminds me of a Johnny Rockets, but feels more home like. Love it for sure and will definitely be back for another milkshake.
MoreDecor took me back in time, good food
I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
First time here and have been told it is the best, IT WAS THE BEST!!!😍🇨🇦 MUST STOP WHEN IN TOWN AND MILE 0!!
MoreGoo food great service nostalgic atmosphere... I'd give it 5 stars if the menu had more choices
MoreLoved this place! Great service and food!
Great place to stop when travelling. Very friendly staff, great food, fantastic music and the coolest of atmospheres. I wasn't alive in the 50's, but this place made me wish I was.
MoreGood food. Good service. Good prices
Takes you back in time and great food, excellent service
Great atmosphere. Great burgers, I had the "great balls of fire" burger. Couldn't be happier. Milkshakes are tasty, fries are good but enormous.
MoreI can't wait to visit again! Best teriyaki burger outside of Hawaii! Loved the atmosphere and the service! The brownie Sunday finished my meal off perfectly!
MoreFood is great and I recommend the chocolate shake
Decor, food and service, tip top nosh at a good price, recommend popping in.
A fun stop for lunch or dinner. We always enjoy the visit! Food is classic diner grub. It's decent.
MoreGreat hearty helpings!! Homemade eating in such an awesome atmosphere.
Dont eat here, food is horrible. Yes it's TRUE about me, I have that thing for life starting with H .
MoreThis is a very cute diner. Its in a train car type building that is made to look like a 1950's dining car. The patty melt my husband had was tasty. It wasn't one of those bland frozen hamburger pattys. I had the hot turkey dinner. It was nice that they used real turkey, not that pressed stuff most restaurants pawn off for real turkey. The gravy wasn't the best and didn't compliment the turkey at all. The fries were lightly seasoned but again nothing to write home about. For dessert we shared a slice of cherry pie. The crust was good but the filling seemed like standard pie filling. I think the best thing about Stuies is the atmosphere, the hamburgers and probably the shakes. Its definitely worth a stop just for the memorabilia.
MoreThe best food. Swiss mushroom burger is a must.
Finally stopped in at Stuie's diner last night. Passed by it many time on the way through, and am now regretting it. This place is a true gem! Old nostalgia type dinner with grub as good, if not better than you could find back in the day. And the service, top notch! Will not be passing by hungry anymore... A must if you are in, or passing through the DC area!!
MoreGo in expecting hand made fresh cooked diner food and you won't be disappointed. The right amount of grease and cheese with thick rustic patties. Fries are good, prices are great. No complaints.
MoreGreat food made to feel like you were back in the 50's
Very very good homemade burgers, huge!!
This is a great place to eat wonderful servers and amazing owners!! Highly recommended
